West Indies take charge of first Test

(CNN) -- West Indies are in control of the opening Test match against Pakistan in Georgetown, Guyana, after a second day when wickets fell at regular intervals.
West Indies celebrate another wicket as they took a 66-run first innings lead over tourists Pakistan.

Replying to the home side's unimpressive first innings total of 226, Pakistan were bowled out for a paltry 160, with no batsman on

either side managing to reach the 50-run mark.
There was still time for West Indies to lose two wickets in their second innings and when bad light stopped play early they had reached 34-2, giving them a 100-run lead going into the third day.
Earlier, Pakistan failed to cope with West Indies leg spinner Devenra Bishoo, who finished with four wickets for 68 runs on his Test debut, with paceman Ravi Rampaul helping himself to Test-best figures of three wickets for 27 runs from 17 overs.
"I felt it was my duty to go and get wickets for the team. I tried to vary my pace a lot because because the pitch was playing a bit slow and tried to bowl the balls in the right areas," Bishoo told reporters.
Abdur Rehman topped the scoring for the visitors with 40 not out while Azhar Ali made 34 and Umar Akmal hit 33.
With 22 wickets having fallen so far, Lendl Simmons' score of 49 in the West Indies first innings is the highest individual run total from either side.
